Soft rotation #8
- Date Created20 February 2025, 19:02
Soft Rotation is a recurring concert organized collectively by sound enthusiasts. Centered on the concept of rotation, it offers a platform for newcomers and artists who embrace exploration through experimentation. The series features time-based sound performances spanning computer music, electronics, and audio-visual work.
Created for an ongoing performance series supported by a radio station, this poster design builds upon the event's established visual identity—one inspired by radio QSL cards and characterized by layered paper compositions. My approach embraced this visual formula, exploring the interplay of multiple overlapping paper planes.
The concept centers on paper-eating caterpillars—a playful metaphor that amplifies the tactile quality of paper while echoing the organic, natural character of ambientscape artists. Rendered through analog hand-drawing, the design balances whimsy with detail, creating posters that are both charming and texturally rich.
