I had attempted to use organic materials in my work several times before, this was the first time I analyzed the unique properties and characteristics of fabric materials and tried various approaches within the program. Through this project, I was able to observe the texture, flexibility, and light-reflective properties of fabric in more depth.
To explore imagery through various compositions and angles, I decided to create a series of sequentially connected images. Since I have always enjoyed establishing connections between rectangular image frames to create storytelling within the visual imagery itself, this methodology was applied to this exploration as well.

The modeling created through cloth simulation was layered as the background, with various fabric and thread elements arranged on top to establish dynamics and visual layout. The key colors used were red, beige, and black, with red thread serving as a particular vehicle for expressing a storyline. Additionally, metal beads and patterned fabric pieces were utilized to break away from the simple image of cloth materials.
Based on the assumption that images a and d were interesting among the four images (a-b-c-d) derived from the image processing process, and wanting to experiment with intersection editing between still images and motion videos, I created a short motion graphic video about one minute long.

While creating the video, I focused on expressing the transition points as if they were watercolor paintings, ensuring smooth fade-ins and fade-outs to create an illusive disturbance between still images and moving footage. In contrast to this watercolor aesthetic, I used pixelation to draw the viewer's attention through visual tension. The core concept centered on developing a visual narrative and layered storytelling through three distinct objects: fabric, metal spheres, and glass. By orchestrating these materials, I aimed to construct a multi-dimensional narrative that unfolds through their interplay and tactile qualities.
